The 2025 NCAA Tournament was a wild ride for the Ole Miss Rebels. After a strong regular season, the Rebels earned an at-large bid to the tournament and were seeded 7th in the West Region. Rebels Softball Shines in Postseason
Coming off a historic regular season, the softball team continued their winning ways in the postseason, advancing to the NCAA Super Regionals for the first time in program history. Under the leadership of head coach Jamie Trachsel, the Rebels earned the No. 12 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, which granted them home-field advantage for the Oxford Regional.
In the regional, the Rebels defeated McNeese State, 12-4, and Louisiana, 9-4, before falling to No. 5-seeded LSU in the championship game. However, the Rebels’ strong performance earned them an at-large bid to the Tallahassee Super Regional.
At the Super Regional, the Rebels faced off against No. 4-seeded Florida State. In a highly competitive series, the Seminoles ultimately prevailed, winning both games to advance to the Women’s College World Series. Despite the disappointing end to their season, the Rebels have much to be proud of in their record-breaking 2025 campaign.
